No more “Deals” on Facebook

Facebook has decided after four months to end the "Deals" product.  Facebook will disable the service in the next coming weeks. According to Reuters, Facebook will still offer the "Check-in deals".  The "Check-in Deals" allows Facebook users to check-in at local businesses and receive a coupon.  The full article regarding Facebook ending deals.

Google releases the +1 button to share recommendations

Google’s has officially released its new social media button known at the +1 button. +1 is Google’s version of Facebook’s “Like” button and lets users recommend products, articles, etc. with a single click.

The +1 button, according to Google, will make it easier for users to recommend content to friends and other contacts while making search results even more relevant and helpful.
